Last week, founders, investors, ecosystem builders, and innovators came together in Rotterdam for Upstream Festival 2026. And what a day it was!

The energy throughout the day was incredible, conversations flowing across every corner of Van Nelle Fabriek. Lots of speeddates, winners of the NL Startup Competition, inspiring talks, practical workshops, engineered serendipity, and sunshine. Upstream 2026 was filled with the kind of momentum that happens when the right people come together in one place.

When we started a year ago with the planning and conversations, we had dreams, doubts, fears, supporters, and people who said some of what we have planned won’t work. Like everyone else, we are learning along the way, and yes, some of the things did not work. But we did it and loved (almost) every bit of it! Things will be changed again for next year, but we are proud that Upstream 2026 turned out the way it did.

Thank you to every partner, supporter, and everyone who gave us critical feedback. Thank you to everyone who came, shared, and contributed. Thank you to every speaker and workshop host. And last but not least, to every Upstream team member and volunteer! We literally could not have done this without you. Now, enough of that.
